Salary: MPS / UPS £160 to £260 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification and have strong behaviour management skills. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in mainstream or specialist settings and a passion for supporting learners with SEND, SEMH needs, or those requiring Functional Skills in English.

Key Responsibilities

As an English Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND or SEMH needs.

Teach across KS3, KS4, and English Functional Skills, providing high-quality, personalised learning experiences.

Adapt lesson plans to meet individual learning profiles.

Use both classroom and outdoor learning spaces to enhance engagement.

Maintain positive behaviour and high expectations in the classroom, supporting students to thrive academically and socially.

Collaborate with support staff, families, and colleagues to maintain a nurturing educational environment.

Contribute to a culture of high expectations and positive relationships.

Specialisms in Art or Maths are welcomed due to cross-curricular opportunities.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for applicants who:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

Are experienced in supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, or Functional Skills English needs.

Are confident in managing behaviour effectively in challenging classroom environments.

Are confident in delivering KS3/KS4 English curriculum and Functional Skills English.

Are creative, adaptable, and committed to inclusive, child-centred teaching.

Can build positive, supportive relationships with young people.

Can commute to Bromley, Kent, or nearby areas.
