Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint innovative, creative and enthusiastic HLTA to join the Yew Tree family. We are a friendly three-form entry primary school with a nursery class. We are looking for committed practitioner, capable of providing high quality teaching and learning support, to join a supportive team of staff who passionately believe in providing the best education for our children.
We are looking for experienced HLTA or a highly skilled teaching assistant ready for the next step in their career. Yew Tree provides an excellent education to children in our local community so we are looking for somebody to join our team who is capable and passionate about the work that they do. We are looking for somebody who is capable of delivering high quality lessons with whole classes of pupils as well as somebody with identifiable leadership skills that can be used to support key aspects of our school work.
Within the HLTA role, there will be a teaching commitment (covering PPA sessions across the school) as well as dedicated time to support the leadership of an agreed area of school development (Assistant SENDCO in the first instance)
We are interested in hearing from individuals with a range of talents, experiences and skills which will offer something unique to our school community. Teaching at Yew Tree is more than a job; It is being a part of our family – our community!
We want to meet candidates who think they have something to offer Yew Tree and who can support us in securing our drive for the highest possible standards at the school. We believe children get one chance at education so we want somebody who is relentless in their desire to provide the best for the children in our care.
We particularly want to hear from candidates who passionately believe in our five core values (responsibility, respect, courage, ambition & pride) and our vision of ‘Learning Without Limits’ for all of our children.
There will be training opportunities for the appointed person to support them in the role. The appointed person can be requested to teach across all year groups at the school for a proportion of their timetable. The HLTA will also be expected to take on some line management responsibilities of other teaching assistants.
What the school offers its staff
We can offer the successful candidate:

• Access to extensive IT facilities (inc. the use of individual staff devices)
• Access to coaching and mentoring from a strong senior leadership team
