This is an exciting opportunity for a highly self-motivated and driven research associate with a background in chemical engineering (or a related discipline). This role forms part of the battery manufacturing research group at the University of Sheffield. The post holder will work on a Faraday Institute grant (Nextrode) specifically working on research into new particle and powder engineering methodologies. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of Professor Rachel Smith.
The main aim of the role is to plan and carry out experimental research relating to particle formation techniques, and be an active member of the Nextrode group. This has been identified as a role that would be ideal for an Early Career Researcher (ECR) to develop their skills alongside an experienced team who can guide and advise. You will take responsibility for requisitions of consumables, equipment and services and present results and communicate with stakeholders.
We build teams of people from different heritages and lifestyles from across the world, whose talent and contributions complement each other to greatest effect. We believe diversity in all its forms delivers greater impact through research, teaching and student experience.
