We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our team in Norton Canes. This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. The role offers competitive pay and the chance to work on a variety of bespoke fabrication projects.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding balustrades, mezzanine flooring, and structural steelwork. The position involves predominantly MIG welding, though other welding techniques may occasionally be required. You will be expected to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately, measure and cut steel components, and assemble them to specification. All work must meet quality standards and comply with health and safety requirements. You will be working both independently and as part of a team to ensure project deadlines are met.
Requirements
Applicants must have proven experience as a Welder Fabricator in a structural steel environment. Strong skills in MIG welding and general fabrication are essential, along with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Competence in using fabrication tools and machinery, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship are required. Reliability and a willingness to take on a long-term role are also important.
