Are you an experienced Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding role in an Alternative Provision setting? We are recruiting for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Willenhall that supports pupils who have faced challenges in mainstream education. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children who need your support.
About the CentreThis specialist provision offers a safe, structured environment for pupils who have experienced barriers to learning. The focus is on re-engaging pupils with the National Curriculum, improving behaviour, and developing social and emotional skills to prepare them for future success.
About the PupilsYou will teach primary-aged pupils working to National Curriculum levels, who require additional support due to:
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Behavioural challenges linked to trauma or adverse experiences
- Low confidence and self-esteem
- Anxiety and attachment difficulties
These pupils thrive in smaller classes with personalised learning and strong relationships.
The Role
- Full-time position starting January 2026 and continuing for the remainder of the academic year.
- Deliver engaging lessons to small groups of primary-aged pupils.
- Support pupils with emotional regulation, resilience, and academic progress.
- Work collaboratively with behaviour specialists and support staff.
Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching KS1 or KS2 pupils.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
- Passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
