We’re looking for someone detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering exceptional financial services. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing accuracy with efficiency while providing outstanding customer support.
What exactly will you be doing?
As an Accounts Receivable Assistant, you will play a key role in managing AAT’s Accounts Receivable process, ensuring timely cash collection and excellent customer service. Working closely with internal teams and external customers, you will help maintain financial accuracy and drive improvements in efficiency.
You will be part of a team that values collaboration and operational excellence, supporting AAT’s mission to remain agile and effective.
Major objectives
Your major objectives will include:
Process and allocate receipts accurately to customer accounts.
Manage customer queries promptly and professionally.
Assist with accurate invoicing and statement distribution.
Compile and distribute reports for senior stakeholders.
Support month-end processes and aged debtor reviews.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
Follow up with organisations for payment to maximise cash collection and minimise overdue debt.
Provide AR-related guidance and training to non-finance staff.
What are we looking for?
Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, debt collection, and cash allocation.
Experience working in an AR function, ideally with UK and international customers.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong numeracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with online banking systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 or 365 (desirable).
