Health & Social Care Teacher – Luton
Contract: Full-time, Temporary
Start date: Monday 5th January 2026 (ongoing)
An establishment in the Luton area is seeking a Health & Social Care Teacher to join their team on a temporary, ongoing basis from January 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Level 2 & 3 classes.
Essential Requirements
• Recent experience teaching Health & Social Care to students aged 16+
• Relevant teaching qualification
• Proven experience teaching Level 2 & 3 classes
• Current Enhanced DBS
• Availability to start in January 2026
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated teacher with a proven track record of raising student attainment. The ideal candidate will:
• Inspire, motivate, and support learners of all abilities
• Work collaboratively as part of a team
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development
Job-Specific Requirements
• Ability to teach the full range of timetabled Health & Social Care courses
• Experience in lesson planning, assessment, and monitoring pupil progress
• Knowledge of current curriculum developments, with experience of curriculum planning
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise departmental responsibilities
• Effective communication skills when working with staff, students, and parents
• Ability to manage learning effectively for individuals, groups, and whole classes
• Strong interpersonal skills and a professional approach at all times
