Who we need

We are seeking a candidate with experience of supporting young people with mental health and wellbeing needs. The role will focus on working with a large caseload of vulnerable learners, providing individual support, and liaising with external agencies and social care to ensure effective multiagency collaboration. A key part of the role will involve supporting safeguarding processes to ensure that students are safe and protected. Ideally, candidates will have experience of advocating for students’ needs, coordinating joined-up support, and helping learners to engage, progress, and thrive during their time at college.

This position will be based at the Highfields campus; however, the successful applicant must understand that this is subject to change due to the wellbeing team being centralised. The applicant should be willing and able to work across different campuses within Nottingham College as required.

What you’ll bring

You will possess experience of supporting young people to ensure their safety and wellbeing on a range of pastoral and learning related topics. Essential skills and experiences required are:

  • Strong organisational skills
  • Confident in using technology
  • Able to keep accurate and detailed records
  • Manage administrative tasks efficiently
  • Good time management, clear communication, and a proactive approach to working with both students and professionals are also key to success in this role
