Summary

Youth Support Worker - Secure Centre

Location: Newton Aycliffe
Salary: £30,024 - £33,669 plus allowances, enhanced hours, and sleep-in payments (total package: £37,449 - £41,858)

About the Role

As a Youth Support Worker, you'll provide specialist care and guidance to young people facing complex challenges. You'll act as a keyworker, offering consistency, support, and advocacy while promoting safety and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationships and provide emotional support
  • Safeguard and challenge young people appropriately
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate records
  • Create care plans and progress reports
  • Lead educational, recreational, and physical activities
  • Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations 2015
Shift Pattern
  • Weekdays: Monday-Friday (7:30 am - 2:45 pm / 2:15 pm - 11:00 pm)
  • Fortnightly weekends: Saturday & Sunday (8:00 am - 1:15 pm / 1:15 pm - 11:00 pm)
