About the Role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a motivated and compassionate tutor with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join our Outreach Tutor program in Liverpool. This role involves providing one-to-one tutoring sessions to students in the community or within their homes, offering tailored educational support across a range of subjects, including Maths, English, and Science. Key Responsibilities

Deliver one-to-one tutoring in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science, tailored to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student.

Adapt teaching methods and resources to ensure accessibility and engagement for students with different learning abilities.

Foster a supportive, motivating learning environment to build student confidence and enhance their academic performance.

Monitor and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to parents, carers, or other professionals involved in the students learning.

Develop and implement personalised learning plans that help students achieve their academic goals and prepare for exams.

Maintain clear communication with parents and students to ensure ongoing progress and adjustment of tutoring strategies when needed.

Essential Requirements

Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).

At least 1 year of experience teaching or tutoring in a one-to-one or small group setting.

Right to work in the UK.

Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Ability to manage a flexible tutoring schedule and work independently.

Desirable Qualifications

Experience teaching or tutoring at GCSE or Key Stage 3 level.

Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with students and their families.

Additional Information

Sessions will generally take place during school hours, but some after-school or evening sessions may be required, depending on student availability.

As an outreach tutor, you will have the flexibility to work directly within the local community or in students' homes.

Prospero Teaching will provide ongoing support, resources, and regular progress monitoring to help you succeed in your role.
