We are seeking a passionate and committed SLD Teacher to join a specialist provision in SE24 from January 2026. This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), delivering highly personalised education that promotes communication, independence, and well-being.
About the Provision
- Specialist setting supporting pupils with complex needs and EHCPs.
- Small class sizes with a focus on tailored learning and holistic development.
- Collaborative staff team dedicated to inclusive practice and student progress.
- Strong emphasis on communication, sensory learning, and life skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SLD.
- Use sensory and therapeutic approaches to support learning and regulation.
- Work closely with therapists, support staff, and families to meet EHCP targets.
- Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor progress and contribute to multi-agency reviews.
Were Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ideally required.
- Experience teaching pupils with SLD, PMLD, or complex SEND.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding, behaviour management, and inclusive strategies.
- Empathy, resilience, and commitment to supporting vulnerable learners.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
