Are you an experienced behaviour mentor looking for a new role? We are currently working with a large SEMH provision in South Manchester to recruit for calm and resilient behaviour mentors to start in January. The school supports pupils aged between 11-18, with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Prepare learning resources to encourage engagement
- Build rapport with pupils, parents and staff to foster a positive learning environment
- Deliver individualised mentoring sessions to help students understand and regulate their emotions
What We Are Looking For:
- Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational or residential care setting
- A calm and empathetic approach to behaviour management
- The ability to remain positive and proactive in challenging situations
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
