About the Role
Long Term Futures is working in partnership with a specialist SEMH school in the Grantham area, with a strong child-centred ethos. The school supports pupils aged 5-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs, providing a calm, structured and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people to build confidence, develop positive behaviours and achieve their potential.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Support teachers with engaging and creative lesson delivery
- Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience and positive behaviour
- Help pupils develop social skills, confidence and independence
- Support behaviour management in a calm, consistent manner
Who We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEN or SEMH
- Calm, patient and positive approach to supporting behaviour
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- Reliable, resilient and committed to making a difference
