Summary
undertake screening and health promotion carry out phlebotomy assist GPs in minor surgery and contraceptive procedures perform ECGs and blood pressures and to apply & remove 24 hour Ambulatory blood pressure machines perform Tele Dermatology and understand IT software take charge of stock control ensure that all treatment areas and consulting rooms are stocked with correct equipment and dressings etc. act as chaperone maintain simple dressings undertake removal of sutures and staples and basic wound care participate in vaccination programmes under the direction of a patient specific directive (PSD) be accountable for maintaining accurate records both manually and on IT systems, ensuring confidentiality always Undertake Accredited : Healthcare Certificate be responsible in safe handling of specimens and clinical waste and sharps disposal
