Project Leader – Specialist Automotive Builds (Confidential)
We’re working with a highly respected specialist automotive builder operating at the very top end of craftsmanship and detail. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Leader to take full ownership of a vehicle build platform from start to finish.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who lives and breathes the build, understands how decisions affect quality, budget, and delivery, and takes pride in seeing a project delivered properly.
The Role
You’ll have end-to-end responsibility for a specific build programme, ensuring every vehicle is delivered to exacting standards, on time and to agreed specification. You’ll coordinate skilled in-house teams and specialist suppliers, manage timelines and costs, and act as the guardian of quality throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complete vehicle builds from strip-down to final sign-off
Coordinate workshop disciplines and specialist subcontractors
Own project timelines, budgets, and delivery milestones
Maintain high standards of quality control at all critical build stages
Manage and motivate a skilled build team, including planning, reviews, and development
Monitor productivity, hours, and efficiency against targets
Maintain clear documentation and build records
Drive continuous improvement in build processes, tooling, and methods
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in the automotive build or restoration sector
Strong project leadership skills with a quality-first mindset
Solid understanding of automotive systems (modern and/or classic)
Confident managing budgets, suppliers, and internal resources
Highly organised, calm under pressure, and detail-focused
Comfortable working with drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
A natural leader who sets high standards and expects the same from others
Why Apply
This is a rare chance to join a true craftsmanship-led environment, where design, detail, and driving experience genuinely matter. You’ll be trusted with significant responsibility and given the autonomy to run projects properly — not rushed, not compromised.
