Summary

I am a young man with an ASD diagnosis who likes gaming, cats and playing piano.
I live alone and would like support to socialise and exercise. I may also require help in the home and to do errands etc.

Duties and responsibilities include supporting with:
- household chores and general homemaking
- attending appointments e.g. hospital/doctors
- food shopping
- looking after/caring for pets
- getting to and from school/work/college/social activities
- accessing sporting and leisure activities
- socialisation, participating in activities
- friendships and independence
- developing a good and trusting one to one working relationship
- managing paperwork and correspondence
- gardening

Skills required:
- car driver preferred but not essential
- honest, reliable, trustworthy and punctual
- maintain confidentiality and respect privacy, including the prohibited use of social
media in relation to the job role
- able to work on own initiative
- able to follow instructions accurately
- be patient, supportive and caring
- have good listening skills and be able to provide non-judgemental emotional
support
- be empathetic
- previous caring experience is not essential, however you should have a genuine
interest in supporting people with a disability/illness to achieve their goals

Days and times are flexible and can be discussed at interview.

DBS check will be required.
