Your new role
As an Electrical Estimator based in Central Scotland from either our Edinburgh or Glasgow Office, you’ll join a dynamic and experienced estimating team. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical systems in building projects. This includes reviewing tender documentation, identifying technical and commercial discrepancies, and ensuring all estimates meet project specifications and client expectations. You’ll also contribute to internal meetings, maintain detailed records, and support the project handover process upon award and throughout the project to completion by liaising with the Contracts Manager to completion.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Core electrical qualifications (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds)
2. Ideally, HNC / HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
3. Proven experience as an Estimator within the building services or electrical
contracting industry
4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
5. Ability to work independently and adhere to industry best practices
6. Strong client relationship management and communication skills
7. Effective communication and collaboration skills across our estimating and
installations teams
8. Familiarity/experience with Trimble Estimation Software
