Post reference: ED50011167Coed Glas Primary school requires four excellent, kind and caring TAs to work with pupils with Additional Learning Needs. The pupils are looking for an energetic, caring adult who can support them in developing their social skills, with their learning in the classroom, and to help and encourage them when managing their emotions. This post would suit a flexible, trained adult who shows patience and understanding, who has successful experience across the primary age.
The role will require flexibility and although the TA would work largely under the direction of the teacher the post requires the ability to take the initiative, addressing misconceptions and being proactive in working with the teacher to adjust plans. In addition applicants should be able to manage resourcing and keeping records as well as having a creative flair to engage children.
As the main adult supporting the pupil, the candidate will have excellent communication skills and have experience of communicating effectively and sensitively with parents and carers.
Coed Glas Primary prides itself on developing the whole child and putting wellbeing at the centre of school life. We take a PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy) and Restorative Justice approach to supporting children and the successful candidate will show an understanding and willingness to work within our school philosophy.
