Contract: Temporary until 31st March 2026 in the first instance.
Hours: 32.5 hours per week/39 weeks per year.
Start Date: January 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The Headteacher and Governing Body of Rhydypenau Primary School are looking to appoint a dynamic, strong, innovative and inspirational teaching assistant to work within our primary school supporting teaching and learning throughout the school.
Duties will include:
 working with small groups of children, both indoors and outdoors, to support their learning
 establishing good relationships with pupils
 acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs
 attending to pupils’ personal needs
 supervising and supporting pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning
 assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and resources
 assisting with the display of children’s work.
 supporting teachers by undertaking a range of tasks including photocopying, laminating, filing.

The successful candidate should have a good standard of literacy and numeracy and good communication skills. Previous experience of working within a school is essential.
This vacancy is suitable for post share.
