Summary

Panel Beater

Location: Chelmsford

Annual Salary: Up to £59,000

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Extras: 30 Days holiday, Achievable bonus worth over £10K, Flexible working hours

Our client is looking for a talented and efficient Panel Beater / Panel Technician with a valid ATA or NVQ equivalent to join their leading team. You'll be repairing damaged vehicles in line with manufacturer specifications in a state-of-the-art bodyshop, using the latest tools and techniques.

Responsibilities for a Panel Beater / Panel Technician:

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced accident repair centre
• Follow correct repair techniques and factory specifications
• Remove damaged panels and parts, and repair or replace them
• Use welding equipment, hand tools, and power tools to reshape and fit panels
• Smooth out dents and minor imperfections using fillers and sanders
• Align body parts accurately for assembly and fitting
• Collaborate with other technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
• Stay up to date with the latest repair standards and industry developments

Skills and Qualifications for Panel Beater / Panel Technician:

• You will have served a recognised apprenticeship as a Panel Beater / Panel Technician and gained a technical qualification (such as NVQ / VCQ / SVQ / ATA)
• You must have previous experience working as a Panel Beater / Panel Technician within a busy body shop and be a strong team player with a self-motivation to earn bonus hours
• You will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques with both heavy and minor crash repair
