Location: Primary School in North Liverpool
Hays Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the north Liverpool area to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support across Year 5 and Year 6.
The RoleWe are looking for a committed General Teaching Assistant to join the Upper Key Stage 2 team. You will play a vital role in supporting both the class teacher and pupils, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Provide targeted support to pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Help with classroom organisation and preparation of learning materials.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Support pupils' emotional development and promote independence.
  • Help Year 5 pupils transition smoothly into Year 6 and prepare for SATs.


✅ What We're Looking For

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Full right to work in the UK.
