Summary
Your new company
We are seeking an experienced Building Surveyor for a temporary assignment covering a wide patch from Wolverhampton West through to Wales. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse projects within the military and defence sector, providing essential surveying services across a large geographical area.
Your new role
As a Building Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a range of professional surveying duties, including but not limited to:
- Conducting stock condition surveys (main focus of the role)
- Carrying out pre-project surveys
- Preparing specifications and offering technical support
- Diagnosing building defects and undertaking building pathology
- Ensuring quality control across all projects
This is a hybrid, remote role with travel across the designated patch. The initial contract is for 3 months, starting in January, with potential for extension and even a permanent opportunity.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree or qualification in Building Surveying
- Proven experience in stock condition surveys, ideally within housing associations or similar environments
- Strong technical knowledge of building pathology and defect diagnosis
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a large geographical patch
