Experienced Trusts Lawyer.

Do you have experience or are you looking to specialise in Trusts?

Would you like to join one of the oldest law firms in the UK?

Joining a busy team based in Stamford the role includes, but is not limited to: -

Provide advice to colleagues and clients in the creation, administration and termination of existing and new Trusts including:
The preparation of deeds and documents.
Trust Tax returns and accounts.
Use of HMRC Trust Registration services.
Offer advice and plan for Inheritance and Capital Gains Tax.
Advise on both Business Property and Agricultural Property Relief.
Work alongside internal and external departments in relation to Trust matters.
Prepare Declarations of Trust documentation.
Advise on Wills that involve Trusts and complex family issues.
Advise on taxable and non-taxable estates.

Responsibilities and key duties will include: -

Provide excellent and ongoing support to existing clients.
Work alongside partners and fee earners to develop new business.
Help develop the Trust department and maximise opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of all work.
Keep up to date with all changes to the law in your field.
Produce your own fee earning income.




The ideal candidate must: -

Be a solicitor or legal executive with experience in Tax and Trust matters. A STEP diploma or willingness to study would be of benefit.
A passionate interest in Tax and Trust work along with a commercial mind-set.
Have up to date knowledge of product, technical and legislative changes in the marketplace.
Understand Money Laundering Regulations and Solicitors Account Rules.
Be an excellent communicator with the ability to work under pressure.
Be able to plan and organise under pressure while maintaining accurate records.
Appear confident, proactive and tactful in front of clients.
Have the ability to communicate technical information to a non-specialist party.
Be hardworking and flexible to meet the demands of the company.
Posses a sense of humour.

Hours of Work: 09.00 – 17.15 hrs – Monday to Friday (36.25 hours per week).
