Job Description:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of projects from inception to completion. Your expertise will ensure that projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management, highlighting potential risks and opportunities
- Conduct detailed cost analysis, including assessment of materials, labour, and equipment expenses
- Evaluate project performance, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and quality standards
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure cost-effective solutions that meet project needs
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost forecasting throughout the project duration
- Utilize software and tools to streamline the quantity surveying process and improve efficiency
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on groundworks and civil engineering projects
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Professional accreditation (MRICS / MCIOB etc.) is desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Blue Beam software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and project management skills
