Glosford SIPS, part of the Keystone & Wyckham Blackwell Group of Companies, is seeking a Project Manager to join the team at their Glosford Manufacturing and Design Facility in Hereford. We are a specialist company offering a complete service for structural building envelopes using the renowned Kingspan TEK wall and roof panels, including fully engineered timber floors and internal structural partitions.
Position Overview
We are looking for an individual with a construction-based background, ideally with experience within the timber frame or offsite manufacturing industry (experience with SIPS would be beneficial). The successful candidate will be an integral part of a successful team delivering bespoke off-site build projects to a growing market, ensuring the effective delivery and installation while promoting a culture of excellence and efficiency in every project.
The Project Manager will be responsible for taking an order from the Commercial department, dealing with the client and their design team, our technical and engineering team, and getting the project to a point where it can be handed over to a designer. Working with that designer to ensure the project moves smoothly forward to manufacture and installation..
As the main point of contact with the client until a project is handed over to the designer, the Project Manager will need to use best judgment when queries arise during the design period—managing customers’ expectations about achievable milestone dates.
This is a full-time role working from our Hereford site.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaising with the client's team to finalise their drawings to go into engineering and design.
* Attending site/virtual meetings as required by the client's team.
* Allocating projects in order of priority to the engineering and design departments.
* Reviewing engineering when it comes in and highlighting any issues or ways to improve the buildability.
* Liaising with operations to determine install dates and constant tracking to manage slippage.
* Determining any cost variations in conjunction with the commercial team and providing feedback to the client.
* Relaying site issues to all relevant stakeholders. Assisting with its resolution and putting any costs associated to the client.
If your interested in the role, please email your CV to Glosford Timber Solutions.
