A well established Bridlington-based company is looking to recruit a delivery driver to join its small team.
Suitable candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic and be hardworking, flexible with hours and reliable. Applicants must also be capable of repeated heavy lifting up to 25kg.
Working hours:
This is a part-time position with regular morning hours, which may suit someone returning to work, reducing their hours, or looking for short-term employment in a customer-focused driving role.
You will be required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week, Monday to Saturday mornings. Extra hours may be available in the afternoons.
This is a three-month temporary position that may lead to a permanent role for the right candidate.
Delivery duties:
- Loading, securing and unloading delivery vehicle
- Operating delivery vehicle and monitoring its general condition
- Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses, following planned routes and delivery schedules
- Serving customers by adjusting orders and resolving issues
- Collecting payments
- Carrying out all work in line with quality and health and safety standards
Skills and ability:
- Exceptional reliability and time keeping (essential)
- Physical fitness, as regular heavy lifting up to 25kg is involved (essential)
- Full driving licence (essential)
- Experience driving large vans (essential)
- Good written and verbal communication (essential)
- Ability to use initiative and work alone or as part of a team (essential)
- Flexibility to adapt to business requirements (essential)
- Knowledge of Bridlington and surrounding areas (beneficial)
