As Enforcement Delivery Team Leader, you will work within Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Delivery, primarily as a people manager, leading and supporting a team of remote working enforcement colleagues.

Manage and mentor a geographically dispersed enforcement team, supporting their development and leading change. Collaborate across DVSA to promote best practices and intelligence-driven engagement. Assess vehicle, driver, and operator compliance to improve road safety. As team leader, foster inclusion, ensure high service standards, and provide specialist commercial vehicle enforcement expertise to achieve business targets and stakeholder compliance.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Delivery of high performance by providing high quality leadership, support and guidance, fostering colleague engagement throughout a nationwide enforcement network.
  • Coaching and managing the performance of all team members, ensuring they are trained, fully aware of required targets/ quality standards and kept informed of any changes.
  • Ensuring all team members have a current personal development plan (PDP) to cater for personal development and succession planning, and coaching and supporting the team to overcome skills gaps.
  • Taking ownership for embedding a culture of continuous professional development and sharing best practice across the wider enforcement community.
  • Driving improvements to the performance and compliance of the team, recognising and rewarding performance and tackling issues promptly to enable better enforcement outcomes.
