Assistant Manager required for a Country Pub located just outside the Newbury area.
Feast-inn Family Group Ltd are seeking an Assistant Manager, who will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision within this restaurant & Bar operation which we also have beautiful outside space with amazing all weather heated Tipi tents for weddings parties and events.
We are looking for a good all-round background to include previous supervisory / managerial experience of bar / restaurant / wedding and other function service operations, and you will require a hands-on approach with a friendly manner towards our team and on the floor engaging with customers ensuring maximum satisfaction with a can-do approach.
This role would require that you are on duty for 45 hours per week with a mixture of shifts to include lunch and dinner service times leading the team from the front with A hands-on role which will involve helping with training and motivating our team.
What we would expect as Assistant Manager:
• That you help supervise, train, motivate, develop and lead our team to ensure the smooth delivery of service to maintain standards working closely with the Directors.
• Ensure the restaurant / food and beverage areas are ready for service and resetting for next service or day.
• Taking restaurant and function bookings and checking our online booking system daily.
• Meeting and greeting guests.
• Ensuring the service of food and beverages is in a smooth and timely manner and in accordance to the standards we operate.
• Ensuring guest satisfaction and customers leave happily.
• Promote / increase food and beverage sales with up selling from the menus.
• Good wine knowledge can be an advantage.
• Ensure the work area is clean and tidy after each shift.
• Manage the service –working with the team at lunch or dinner service (unless a function on requiring you to be working at a specific time)
• Provide excellent communication skills with a passion for customer service.
• Hands on role, supporting the team.
• Ensure customer billing and payments are as smooth as possible.
• Compliance with government guidelines and statutory regulations.
• Liaising with Owners/Directors for full support.
The salary for this opportunity of Assistant Manager is negotiable depending on experience and is inclusive of a share of the tips with a bonus possible scheme and full holiday pay & pension scheme.
Transport will be needed due to location in the local area. We plan to be closed on a Monday in winter months and open during summer months on bank holidays, therefore your work schedule will be Tuesday to Sunday, unless a function is booked for the other days.
