Summary

Our client, a respected educational institution in Manchester, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time SEND HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) to join their supportive and inclusive team. This position offers a competitive salary range of £82.50 to £150 per day, depending on qualifications and experience.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and a strong commitment to supporting their learning and development. As a SEND HLTA, you will work closely with the teaching staff to provide personalised support to students, ensuring they have the necessary resources and strategies to thrive in their educational journey.

Key responsibilities of the SEND HLTA role include:
- Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement individualised learning plans for students with SEND
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to students, adapting teaching methods and materials to meet their specific needs
- Monitoring and assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and communicating regularly with teachers and parents
- Assisting with the creation and preparation of learning resources and materials
- Supporting students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment

To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field (e.g. , HLTA status, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent)
- Proven experience working with children and young people with SEND
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
- Knowledge of relevant educational policies, procedures, and best practices related to SEND support
