Summary
Requirements:
- 3 days per week
- 6 hours per day (18 hours total)
- Supporting a college learner
- Ability to interpret in a variety of subject areas
- A professional, reliable and student-centred approach
- Experience working in educational settings preferred
Role responsibilities:
- Provide BSL interpretation during lessons, group work and discussions
- Facilitate communication between the student, peers and teaching staff
- Adapt interpreting style to suit the student's needs and pace
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards
- Work collaboratively with the SEN/Support team and college staff
We are looking for someone who is calm, supportive and able to build a positive working relationship with the young person, ensuring they can fully participate in their studies.
