Contract Type: Permanent
Salary Range: Grade 5, SCP 16 - 18, FTE salary £30,518.00 - £31,537.00, pro rata salary £26,963.00 - £27,863.00)
Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment
Working Type: Full Time (Term Time Only) 37 hours, 39 working weeks

Denton Community Academy is seeking a skilled, patient, and committed Inclusion Centre Support Officer to join our team and support the delivery of our Tier 2 Personalised Learning Centre. This provision offers short-term, bespoke placements for Key Stage 3 students who require additional support to reintegrate successfully into mainstream lessons.

About the Role

The Tier 2 provision plays a vital role in supporting students who experience barriers to learning. The Inclusion Centre Support Officer will work closely with teaching staff and the Head of Inclusion Centre to deliver targeted interventions and personalised learning plans that help each student to re-engage with education and make sustained progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day running of the Tier 2 Personalised Learning Centre for KS3 students on short-term placements.
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to deliver tailored learning activities and behaviour support.
  • Implement and monitor personalised learning and reintegration plans.
  • Foster positive relationships that promote engagement, confidence, and resilience.
  • Track student progress and contribute to reviews and reintegration meetings.
  • Liaise with classroom teachers, pastoral teams, and parents to ensure continuity of support.
  • Promote inclusion, wellbeing, and a restorative approach to behaviour management.
