We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Finance Analyst to join our dynamic and busy BSPS Finance Team.
The post holder will support the Business Support Accountant and collaborate closely with a professional team, including a Senior Finance Analyst and a Deputy Business Support Accountant.
This role involves working directly with specialty leads and other departments to ensure robust and accurate financial management and reporting at all times.
The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining financial integrity, providing insightful analysis, and supporting effective decision-making across the organisation.

• Provide high-quality financial analysis to support decision-making and service improvement.
• Assist in the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of budgets and financial plans.

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure accurate, timely financial information.
• Support the development and implementation of financial systems and processes.

• The post holder will support the preparation, monitoring, and reporting of monthly and annual management accounts, including:
• Investigating variances and resolving discrepancies, liaising with internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Discussing confidential and sensitive financial matters with staff, providing guidance and financial advice where appropriate.
• Participating in the creation of interfaces and journals to input, process, and manipulate financial data within NHS Finance Systems.
• Supporting the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in line with organisational priorities.
• Producing accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making at departmental and senior management levels.
• Monitoring expenditure against budgets, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with NHS financial policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
• Collaborating with clinical and operational teams to provide financial insights that inform service improvement and strategic planning.
• Contributing to the development and improvement of financial systems, processes, and workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• The role requires high attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage sensitive financial information professionally, ensuring the integrity of organisational finances.
