Summary

Hours: 30 hours per week, term time only. Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
Salary: Hay 9 (£20,601 - £22,359 per annum).
This is a fixed term post, Starting as soon as possible until 31st August 2026. With a view to extending the role for a further year until 31st August 2027
We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who has a passion for inclusion. At Coniston Primary School, we are very proud of our work in providing a caring, nurturing inclusive approach to ensure all children have access to a high-quality education within the classroom. We also provide social and emotional developmental support for all of our children through bespoke wellbeing sessions and the Thrive programme. We believe that inclusion is about removing barriers for all children to empower them to take part in everyday school life alongside their peers and the role of the Teaching Assistant is crucial in enabling this.
During the latest Ofsted inspection in February 2025, it was judged that the school’s work may have improved significantly across all areas since the previous inspection, meaning we are well on our way to being Outstanding. The excellent standard that we deliver for the pupils within our school has been recognised by other external agencies and we provide support to other schools within and beyond South Gloucestershire for a number of areas, including; Senior Leader support, pastoral and behaviour, teaching and learning, as well as, curriculum development. All this work has been driven by our enthusiasm and determination to provide the best opportunities for all children who attend Coniston Primary School.
