Summary
In this post you will be a valid team member, providing administrative support to the Kent & Medway Mental Health NHS Trust Safeguarding Team, specialising in the administration management of the work undertaken within the safeguarding agenda.
The post holder will assist in the smooth-running of the service and taking a proactive role in supporting and organising the day-to-day functioning of information requests coming via the admin email inbox and phone line.
In this role you will be expected to work independently and proactively without direct supervision using initiative to prioritise own workload exercising discretion as to the degree of urgency, importance and confidentiality required. You will be working flexibly at home, & or on site around the trust.
• To provide dedicated time to a wide range of administrative duties, including utilising on a daily basis computer skill as well as maintaining a range of knowledge and understanding of procedures, protocols and functions.
• · This role will also provide support to the Safeguarding Team Administrator Band 4, and support to cover annual leave.
• · Develop, Update and maintaining a databases and spreadsheets relevant to work area and manage meeting arrangements including taking and distributing information such as child protection conference and strategy meeting invites, and minutes as required.
• · Communicating and engaging with external and internal stakeholders, maintaining working relations to fulfil the admin role with guidance.
• · Provide (with signoff as needed) and receive complex information which may contain contentious and sensitive information.

• To act as the main point of administration contact for the safeguarding team, managing enquires tactfully in a professional manner.
· Redirecting any enquires accordingly to the team members depending on their availability in a timely manner.
· To develop and maintain recording of data on in-house systems (such as RiO), data bases and filing systems; both computerised and manual ensuring these comply with Data Protection and Information Protocols.
