Main Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Chef de Partie with the smooth running of a kitchen section.
  • Prepare and cook dishes to specification, maintaining consistency and quality.
  • Take responsibility for assigned tasks during service to support efficient kitchen operations.
  • Maintain excellent cleanliness, organisation and food safety within your section.
  • Assist with stock rotation, labelling and correct storage of ingredients.
  • Guide and support Commis Chefs, sharing knowledge and encouraging good practice.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure smooth communication and positive workflow.
  • Build your skills and confidence with the aim of progressing to a Chef de Partie role.
The Ideal Candidate

Person Specification

  • Experience as a Commis Chef or similar role in a quality hospitality environment.
  • Confident with core cooking skills and ready to take on more responsibility.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing consistent dishes.
  • Supportive team player who contributes to a positive kitchen culture.
  • Calm and professional during busy service periods.
  • Committed to progression towards Chef de Partie level.
