What You’ll Be Doing as a Purchasing Assistant
As our Purchasing Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring components are ordered in line with production requirements
• Reviewing and acting upon MRP reports
• Placing purchase orders and expediting deliveries when required
• Maintaining accurate product, stock, and supplier information
• Running weekly demand-planning reports and highlighting potential shortages
• Identifying opportunities to enhance sourcing, reduce costs, and improve value
• Supporting Buyers with project work and departmental initiatives
• Managing can indemnities reports and updating Account Managers where needed
• Assisting with general office administration, including call handling and cross-team support
