Description:
We are looking for a Personal Assistant for a very daring young boy, aged 12. He is quite the dare devil in his spare time with his family, enjoying motor cross and going to the bike track. He enjoys being outdoors and enjoying the fresh air, most of the time.
Meeting a new person can be daunting and he takes some time to warm up to a person, we would like this to be as smooth and stress free for him as possible, therefore meeting him outdoor spaces would be best. Are you able and comfortable with indirect communication, not asking lots of questions and talking as this is not a communication method he is comfortable with.
Duties will include:
Going out different places
Creating fun things to do
Enjoying the community
Building confidence
Rate of Pay:
£12.21 per hour
Hours:
2 hours per week
Days and times to be confirmed with the employer.
The hours may increase when the support has started.
About you:
You must be…
Kind
Caring
Patient
Reliable
Fun
Punctual
Have excellent communication skills
Able to learn on the job
Have initiative
Able to create fun activities
A driver with access to their own vehicle would be preferred but not essential
All successful applicants will undergo interview, references and an enhanced DBS check.
If you are interested in working with our boy and you think you have the patience and nature to be able to fulfil the role in the best way, please apply and speak with Charlotte @ D.A.D for any more information Charlotte.ward@darlingtondisability.org
