What You’ll Be Doing

Delivering reliable and accurate day-to-day administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
Calculating a wide range of pension benefits and entitlements
Liaising with employers to ensure data accuracy and compliance with LGPS regulations
Challenging and supporting employers to improve data quality
Progressing to handle more complex casework including retirements, transfers, death benefits, and aggregations
Career Development

This is a career-graded role, starting at Grade 4. As you gain experience and demonstrate your ability to work independently, you’ll progress through Grades 5 and 6, taking on more complex responsibilities and becoming a key member of our pensions team.

Experience in an office environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent Microsoft Office skills and numerical aptitude
A customer-focused mindset with a flexible and adaptable approach
Willingness to learn and keep up to date with complex pension regulations
