Velox Social Care is looking for dedicated Support Workers to join our team in the Rotherham area, providing high-quality, person-centred care to Children and Young People (CYP) who require structured support. We're seeking individuals who are not only caring and patient but also eager to support young people through encouragement and understanding. As a Support Worker, you'll help young people thrive while working alongside our Care Management Team and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes.
Your Role:
- Support children and young people to make positive progress, providing care, encouragement, and patience.
- Record daily logs and maintain clear communication with colleagues and our dedicated Care Management Team.
- Work with external agencies to ensure holistic care and support for our young people.
- Provide a mixture of long and short shifts, offering flexibility based on client needs.
We offer a variety of flexible shift options, including days, nights, and ongoing block bookings, making this role suitable for individuals with different availability.
Key Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Right to Work in the UK
- 6+ months of experience in a similar CYP setting (ideally in the UK)
- 3 References: 2 professional, 1 character
- In-date PMVA or Team Teach certificate (if PMVA-trained, you must be willing to complete Team Teach training)
- Enhanced Child DBS, subscribed to the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
- Relevant Health & Social Care qualifications (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
- Drivers are welcome, and Business Insurance (BI) is required for those who drive
- Experience in challenging behaviours is essential; we are seeking candidates with a mix of experience, though challenging behaviour experience is particularly valued
- Non-drivers are also welcome to apply
