Job Overview

Hours will be 24 hours a week nursing and 16 hours Supernumerary for administration duties.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our care home team specialising in senior care. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the management team to deliver high-quality care services, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents, particularly those requiring dementia and Alzheimer's care. Duties
Assist the management team in overseeing daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans tailored to individual resident needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care.
Administer medication in accordance with prescribed protocols, maintaining accurate records.
Support residents with daily activities, promoting independence and dignity.
Monitor the delivery of nursing and personal care, ensuring it meets high standards of quality and safety.
Lead staff training sessions on topics such as dementia care, medication administration, and emergency procedures.
Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to coordinate effective care delivery.
Assist in managing staffing rotas, recruitment processes, and performance appraisals.
Experience
Proven experience working within a nursing home environments specialising in senior or dementia care.
Demonstrable supervisory or management experience within a care home setting.
Knowledge of relevant legislation, including Care Act regulations and CQC standards.
Experience in developing and implementing personalised care plans for residents with complex needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team of care professionals.
Familiarity with medication administration procedures and health & safety protocols in a residential setting.
