NRL is currently recruiting a Planner to join one of our leading clients in their Nuclear team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a high-performing project team within a critical sector, supporting the delivery of complex engineering works on a key site within the UK’s nuclear fleet.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Planner to join the planning team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an established team working on a long-term framework. This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment to deliver projects of national importance. The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, multi-disciplinary project teams, and the Client on a diverse portfolio of challenging projects.
Role- Planner
Salary- £55,000 - £65,000 per annum
Location- Cumbria
Key Responsibilities
• Leading project planning activities using Primavera P6 for large-scale construction projects.
• Developing, manage, and maintain project schedules, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
• Collaborate with project controls and planning teams to ensure resources are allocated effectively and schedules are achievable.
• Provide ongoing support to Program and Project Managers, offering insights on schedule performance, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Monitoring and report on critical path activities, key milestones, and any variances from the project plan.
• Ensuring data is accurately inputted into project systems, providing detailed and actionable reports to stakeholders.
• Evaluate new project proposals to establish realistic and achievable timelines for successful delivery.
Qualifications:
• Experience of (WBS) Work Breakdown Structures.
• Good Primavera (P6), MS Project and MS Excel skills.
• Knowledge of integrated project controls, and the ability to assess project performance and maturity.
• Experience planning projects of varying levels of complexity and in different stages of the Project Lifecycle.
• Ability to constructively challenge the project performance and data with the IPT to ensure the project plans and schedules reflect reality and mitigate risk to the business.
• Minimum 1 years construction planning experience.
