Summary
Finance Officer (Grade 2C) - Leaving care Next Step
Full time (36 hours) and Fixed Term for 12 months

We are seeking to appoint a Finance Officer within the Salford Leaving Care Team (Next Step)

About You
We are looking for an individual who have good interpersonal and communication skills who have previously worked with vulnerable young people. You’ll be confident talking to service users and be able to respond in a professional and understanding way. This is an extremely busy role and there is an expectation that the successful candidate will be able to manage their own workload, be flexible and adaptable and work as part of a team, to ensure all the responsibilities and deadlines in relation to supporting the service are considered and acted upon within agreed timescales.
The role will be office based 5 days a week within the Next Step service.
Experience in handling financial accounts would be desirable but not essential. You will be able to learn and understand council policies and financial procedures and apply it to the role. you must be able to work effectively across several IT systems.

The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months’ salary payments at a rate of £5.38 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £21.50
