We are seeking a dedicated Safeguarding and Attendance Officer to join our school team. This is a pivotal role, offering the chance to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and their families by building strong relationships, embedding a robust safeguarding culture, and ensuring the very best outcomes for every young person in our care.
This post will suit a current safeguarding lead or deputy, a home-school link worker, or someone with experience in specialist education and an interest moving into safeguarding, family support and attendance officer work.

About the Role
Build strong relationships and embedding a robust safeguarding culture
Support pupils and families to improve attendance and engagement
Represent the school at multi-agency meetings
Work closely with our Safeguarding, Welfare and Attendance Lead (DSL), playing a key part in ensuring every pupil is safe, supported, and able to thrive.
Act as a point of contact for day-to-day safeguarding concerns
Provide direct casework with pupils and families to improve attendance
Monitor and record safeguarding information accurately and securely
Conduct home visits (with a colleague) where required
Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to support plans
Monitor alternative provision placements for safeguarding and quality
About you
GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C or above)
Degree (desirable)
Experience in safeguarding, family support, or attendance work
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Excellent record-keeping and IT skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
