We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Registered nurse with proven general acute experience to join our brand-new 16-bedded unit, caring primarily for older adults with an expected turnover of 24-48 hours.

This is a fantastic role for a motivated and enthusiastic nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care within a fast-paced frailty assessment environment. You should feel confident working in a high-turnover unit, demonstrating adaptability, strong clinical judgement, and the ability to respond effectively to changing priorities. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with a positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow as part of a new and developing service.

We aim to open the unit on the 29th December, therefore we require someone who is able to be released from their current role at short notice. If successful following interview, we would be happy to discuss this with your current ESNEFT line manager to support the successful opening of the new unit.
• To meet the needs of the Trust with regard to Induction, mandatory and statutory training.
• To work within the framework for Clinical Governance to provide effective, high quality individualised nursing care to patients and relatives/carers and to contribute to the continuing development of nursing practice.
• To ensure high standards of patient care at all times, in line with Trust policies and guidelines.
• To work as an effective member of the nursing and wider multi-professional healthcare team.
• To work within the Trust’s Competency Framework for Registered Nurses, the Ward/ Department Philosophy and the NMC Code of Conduct/ Professional Standards for the Protection of Patients.
