Summary

About the Opportunity

A strong opportunity for a Senior Electrical Engineer to take responsibility for delivering and coordinating electrical engineering design across significant and complex projects within a well-established Manchester team. You will work closely with clients and project partners, lead elements of design delivery, and support the technical development of engineers within the team.

Manchester offers a diverse project pipeline across local, regional and international schemes, providing exposure to complex systems and opportunities to influence design direction from early stages.

Key Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering design on small projects and take discipline ownership within larger or more complex schemes
Develop and refine project briefs, translating client requirements into robust engineering solutions
Produce detailed calculations, technical reports, design packages and specifications
Coordinate effectively with other disciplines to ensure fully integrated MEP solutions
Report progress, risks and deliverables to senior management, ensuring work remains on programme
Attend design team meetings, client meetings and workshops, representing the electrical discipline
Delegate tasks and review work completed by junior engineers, ensuring quality and compliance
Engage with clients, contractors and project partners to maintain strong working relationships

What You Need

Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer delivering complex building services projects
Strong knowledge of modern delivery tools including Revit, BIM, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux
Experience working closely with architects, contractors and project managers in a consultancy environment
Clear, confident communication skills with the ability to present design information effectively
Experience leading portions of projects, managing workloads and checking the work of others
Strong organisational capability with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
A collaborative mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering outcomes
