Summary
The Afterschool Club Worker supports the day-to-day running of the afterschool program, providing a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children. This role involves supervising activities, assisting with homework, organizing play, and ensuring high-quality care for all participants.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and creative projects.
Support children's social, emotional, and physical development through positive interaction and encouragement.
Assist children with homework or reading tasks as needed.
Set up, tidy, and maintain activity spaces and equipment.
Promote positive behaviour and manage conflicts in line with the club’s behaviour policy.
Build strong, respectful relationships with children, parents, and school staff.
Monitor attendance and maintain accurate records as required.
Follow all safeguarding, health & safety, and school policies and procedures.
Contribute to a welcoming, friendly, and inclusive atmosphere for all participants.
