About the Role
As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will provide high-quality care and emotional support to children and young people with complex needs, including emotional and behavioural difficulties and trauma backgrounds. You’ll work as part of a dedicated team to create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where young people can grow, learn life skills, and move towards independence.

Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day care, guidance and emotional support
Support young people with routines, activities and key life skills
Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour professionally and calmly
Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures
Work collaboratively with your team and external professionals to deliver consistent care
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 6 months’ experience working with children or young people with complex needs
NVQ Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – desirable, not essential
Strong communication skills, resilience and a caring approach
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins
