Summary
It is a requirement for this position for you to be able to drive and have your own reliable vehicle. Experience is not essential since you will be provided with full training and on-going support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support with medication administration following prescribed schedules and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and assist with feeding if necessary
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
- Manage behaviour effectively through compassionate behaviour management techniques
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Support clients with mobility
- Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed, ensuring safe transportation
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns promptly to healthcare professionals or family members
- Engage in activities to promote well-being and independence.

Qualifications
Knowledge of patient care techniques, including Alzheimer’s and dementia care
Certification or training in first aid is advantageous
Valid driving licence and clean driving record are desirable for transportation duties
Strong caregiving skills with a focus on compassion and patience
Excellent organisational skills for meal preparation, medication management, and behaviour support
Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends as required
