Summary


The Fracture Clinic at Manchester Royal Infirmary, part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust are currently looking to recruit a Band 4 Plaster Technician to our team. Join our team where you’ll have the opportunity to care for patients requiring a number of orthopedic treatments.

We are looking for a Plaster Technician who is compassionate and caring with an ability to focus on the delivery of high caliber patient centered care. To join us, you should have the ability to motivate, inspire and support each other while providing fantastic care to our patients, who are at the heart of all we do. A calm, diplomatic and caring approach and a commitment to provide high quality, safe and effective care is essential.

The post holder will support on the provision of the orthopaedic technical service for Manchester Royal Infirmary with cross site working at Trafford General Hospital. This would include the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients requiring a variety of casting materials and splint application. The post holder will possess a wide range of skills and knowledge associated with this area of practice autonomously as well as providing leadership within the plaster room. The post holder will provide expert support and guidance to other relevant professionals, departments and services. The post holder is responsible for ensuring the plaster room is a safe and welcoming environment for both adults and young people while maintaining adequate health and safety requirements associated with practice. The post holder is expected to have a flexible approach.
