You will be able to find a full Job description and Person Specification attached within the supporting documents or please click Apply now to view in Trac Act as the professional and strategic lead for NHS Wales, on all proactive and investigation issues and having full access to all NHS Wales cases on the Case Management System (as stipulated by NHSCFA), ensuring a consistent and high-quality approach to progressing investigations and countering economic crime across the NHS in Wales in compliance with relevant legislation. Act as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for approval of access to sensitive and restricted data maintained by Regional and National Police Services, National Crime Agency (NCA), HMRC, DWP and Border Force. Act as Senior Authorising Officer (SAO), empowered to review and approve appropriate confiscation, restraint and money laundering actions via the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA) 2022, and maintain appropriate accreditation by the NCA. Support the Chair of the NHS Wales Counter Fraud Steering Group, as a member of the group, which provides oversight of Counter Fraud Services in Wales and acts as an Advisory Group to the Welsh Government in respect of action required and opportunities for improvement. Develop measures to track improvement and monitor progress with achieving the objectives and outcomes set out in the Counter Fraud Strategy. Required to produce quarterly performance reports including highly complex statistical data and analysis of several components for Directors of Finance, Counter Fraud Steering Group, internal and external auditors and the Welsh Government, and an Annual Report. Responsible for ensuring arrangements are in place with the NHSCFA for a cyclical review of performance and effectiveness of the Counter Fraud Services Wales team. Lead on the implementation of any recommendations arising from such reviews.
